Deborah learned the art of savvy messaging in the political arena, working her way through the ranks on a campaign fundraising committee and later in a research and support role for a lobbyist group. Today, Deborah has more than 22 years of experience in planning and managing marketing communications, advertising, website and graphic design projects. She has implemented branding strategies for clients including large financial institutions, real estate developments, manufacturing companies and numerous economic development entities.

As a business owner, Deborah understandings the process of growing a company. Before founding Aha, she was a co-founder and executive vice president of Staats Falkenberg & Partners (SF&P). There, Deborah headed up account service, marketing, production management and administrative functions, spending over 20 years with the Austin firm. Her account experience with SF&P included Texas Gas Service Conservation Program, Texas Bankers Association, Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector and the Long Center for the Performing Arts.

Deborah holds a B.A. in history from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Intermarket Agency Network, a national association of advertising agency principals. Deborah served as a board member of the American Marketing Association's Austin chapter, and she was a first-round judge in the association's national Effie Awards Competition. When she’s not at work, Deborah is riding her bike, hiking the greenbelt, skiing or relaxing at home with her family, their two golden retrievers and their hedgehog, Marley.
